Common Questions, Honest Answers
The questions we hear most often about mobile window tinting in Fort Lauderdale and South Florida — including service areas, ceramic film, and how to book.
Everything
Before You Book
Is Elite Tint Specialist really mobile?+
Yes. We are a mobile-only service based in Fort Lauderdale. We come to your home, office, or dock across Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade. Free mobile service is within 20 miles of Fort Lauderdale; beyond that a travel fee may apply, and we confirm your ZIP when you book.
Which areas do you serve?+
Broward County, Palm Beach County, and Miami-Dade County from our Fort Lauderdale base. If you are unsure whether we reach you, call or request a quote and we will confirm based on your ZIP code.
What types of window tinting do you do?+
Four categories: automotive, residential, commercial, and marine. We do not offer paint protection film, wraps, or detailing — only window tint.
Is ceramic tint a coating?+
No. Ceramic tint is a window film option — not a ceramic coating. It is one of several film choices we offer for automotive tint, using non-metallic ceramic particles to manage heat and glare without signal interference.
How do I get a quote?+
Call (954) 805-7560 or use the Get a Quote form on the contact page. We will confirm your ZIP, the surfaces involved, and the film options that fit the job.
Do you need to see the glass first?+
For residential, commercial, and marine work we typically confirm details about the glass and access before quoting. For automotive, the vehicle and your film preference are usually enough to start.
Do you come to my home or office for a car?+
Yes. We bring automotive tint to your home or office. The vehicle needs clean glass and a workable spot; we bring everything else.
Will residential tint give me privacy at night?+
Only partly. Tint adds daytime privacy when it is brighter outside than in. At night with lights on inside, that reverses. We will not promise nighttime privacy that film cannot deliver.
Can you tint acrylic or polycarbonate boat windows?+
Sometimes. Film can be applied to acrylic and polycarbonate, but not every film and adhesive is compatible. We confirm the material before recommending a film so the result holds up on the water.
Do you offer a warranty?+
Ask for the selected film’s written warranty terms with your quote, including what is covered, any exclusions, and how to make a claim. Coverage depends on the product and installation.
What about Florida tint law?+
Florida’s tint requirements vary by window position and vehicle type. Review current Florida statutes 316.2952, 316.2953, and 316.2954, and discuss your vehicle and visibility needs when choosing film.
How do I pay?+
We confirm payment options when you book. Call or request a quote and we will walk you through it before the appointment.
